Holiday Potluck Easy Dessert

Updated: Dec 16, 2017

I'm not much of a baker, AND I'm a huge fan of savory desserts. Pop this into the oven for a few mins after dinner for a warm oozy end to your meal. Feel free to wrap it in puff pastry because, why not?

Baked Brie with Strawberry Compote

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit

You will need:

1 Pack Fresh Strawberries

Sugar to taste

4 Tablespoons Honey

Brie Wheel

2 Baguettes or French Bread

  1. Wash and chop fruits. Combine 3/4 of strawberries and 2 tablespoons of honey in a saucepan.

  2. Stir in sugar and slowly bring mixture to a light boil over medium heat, stirring and mashing fruit until the desired consistency and sweetness. Cool slightly before handling.

  3. Place the brie on a sheet pan or baking dish and pour fruit mixture over. Top with remaining strawberries, drizzle with honey or balsamic vinaigrette.

  4. When ready to serve. Bake for 10-13 minutes, or until it starts to ooze but not melt. Slice baguettes up thinly and toss into the oven halfway through bake time.

Enjoy layers of baked brie with warm sweet strawberry compote on toasted bread :3
